It's nearing August now and the garden is winding down. We are still enjoying eggplant, cucumbers and, recently ready, okra. We also have pears and two types of figs. I plan to make pear perserves.
As you can see from the pictures on my web album, our sunflowers were amazing. Our first year planting mammoth. Most were at least 9 feet tall.
We will be preparing the ground soon for our fall greens. Collard and mustards along with cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli.
