The past week has not been great for my garden. Though we have eaten squash every way you can think of, the squash plants have been under attack. Bugs and worms devouring the stems and roots. The plants have given their best, but I had to give in to radical response by pulling up the majority of my plants. I kept the strongest of the lot, and intend on giving them the utmost attention time will allow.

Gardening is time consuming and often discouraging with drought, fungus and bugs. However, I have greatly enjoyed the experience and gained much more than I've lost. It has lured me to the outside rather than spending time surfing the channels on the TV. I feel stronger and have greatly enjoyed the vegetables. We still enjoy cucumbers, eggplant, pole beans, tomatoes and more. Hoping for success with our first time planting of watermelon and canteloupe.

Check out my slideshow! There are new pictures to view.
